Author Biographies

John Taylor is the Mary and Robert Raymond Professor of Economics at Stanford University. He is currently on leave while he serves as the Under Secretary of the Treasury for International Affairs. Professor Taylor is also widely recognized for his research. He has created formulas for wage and price setting and models for economic policy evaluation. One of his well-know research contributions led to the Taylor Rule, widely used at central banks around the world. He received his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1973.
