Instructor's Resource Manual
The manual provides summaries of chapter themes, lecture suggestions, teaching ideas
and activities, as well as a guide to teaching with the Enduring Voices document sets.
Test Bank
This resource provides a complete testing program for the text, with test questions
for each chapter in a variety of formats including multiple-choice, short-answer,
essay, and map questions. The multiple-choice questions offer five possible answers,
to reflect the format of the Advanced Placement examination.

This guide offers students chapter outlines and summaries, vocabulary words and their definitions,
map exercises, skill-building activities, various historical sources for further research,
and practice test questions in multiple-choice, short-answer, and essay formats.
The two volumes are divided into the textbook chapters for pre- and post-Civil War.
HM ClassPrep CD with HM Testing 6.1
This teaching tool provides course planning, lecture, and testing resources.
The test component provides the same questions found in the printed Test Bank,
but also allows teachers flexibility to add their own questions and to create
virtually limitless variations. The CD also includes PowerPoint slides that
instructors can tailor to their needs, and HM ImageBank, a selection of images
from the text with teaching notes. These may be used to enhance classroom
presentations and/or to stimulate discussion.

This CD provides approximately 1,000 primary sources - text, audio, video, and
animations - that span all time periods and cover political, social, economic,
diplomatic, environmental, and cultural history. Half of the selections are
accompanied by suggested activities and assignments, as well as a notepad feature
with which students can record questions or comments.

plus detailed teaching notes with suggestions for effectively integrating
the sources into the course.

Enduring Voices, Volume 2
Enduring Voices is a collection of primary-source readings that parallel each of
the chapters in the textbook. Each set of readings is organized around a key
theme from the corresponding textbook chapter. The two volumes are divided into
the textbook chapters for pre- and post-Civil War.
The History Handbook
This handy volume is a study-skills guide which shows students how to critically
evaluate primary sources, research history topics, present material to their peers,
and use the most current technological tools.
Textbook Companion Web Site
The Web site offers a variety of resources for students to reinforce and extend
the textbook lessons, including ACE self-assessment quizzes, outlines, vocabulary
exercises, and skill-building activities tied to maps and other illustrations from
the text. There is a separate section for teachers, which provides the contents of
the Instructor's Resource Manual, the testing program, and other teaching tools.
