Frequently Asked Question

Getting Started
Can I upgrade the EasyPlanner found on my Resources2Go flash drive? Yes, but you must follow these steps:
  • Close EasyPlanner and keep your flash drive inserted into a USB port.
  • Download the upgrade file from this site and save it on your computer's desktop, not your flash drive.
  • Open the update file and follow the prompts until you are asked where you want to place the upgrade.
  • Select the EasyPlanner folder within your flash drive's directory. Click install and follow the prompts.
  • Restart EasyPlanner. Your version should be updated.
I am running Mac OS 10.1.5. Why does the program sometimes behave erratically? The most recent Java program used in EasyPlanner is not fully compatible with this operating system, and users may experience font, table, and other irregularities within the program. Please upgrade your operating system to at least 10.2.8 to enjoy the full functionality of the program.
Do I need a specific version of EasyPlanner to use the standards? Yes, your EasyPlanner must be version 2 or later.
How do I know if there are standards or content updates for my EasyPlanner? Engine, content, and state standards updates for EasyPlanner are available as Web downloads, but you must have EasyPlanner version 5 to access the new content. If you have an earlier version, go to the Download section on this Web page for steps on how to upgrade your engine. Launch EasyPlanner version 5 and choose Check for Updates from the Help menu. When the Auto-Update Wizard appears, select your state from the pull-down menu and follow the prompts to complete the update process. You will need to restart EasyPlanner in order for the updates to take effect.
I'm having trouble launching the audio and video files that are on my EasyPlanner. Is there a way to correct this? In order to play EasyPlanner's video (.mov) and audio (.mp3) files, you need QuickTime or MediaPlayer installed on your machine. Free downloads of these applications can be found at: QuickTime and Windows Media Player.
What's the difference between EasyPlanner, EasyPlanner Plus, and the Online Lesson Planner? The EasyPlanner is a CD-ROM-based lesson-planning tool. The CD contains electronic versions of the ancillary files correlated to a given subject, in addition to standards and editable lesson plans. Unlike the EasyPlanner Plus, which is an online version found in the eServices section of our Web site, the content on the CD version is not correlated to state and national standards. EasyPlanner Plus is a lesson-planning tool for all of our textbooks. The Online Lesson Planner is a Web-based lesson-planning tool available for most high school math textbooks. You can access the planner at ClassZone by choosing your textbook and searching under the Teacher Resources link.
What should I do when the splash screen comes up, but then it closes and nothing happens? Double-click My Computer, double-click the CD-ROM drive icon, then double-click INDEX (or INDEX.HTML). The program should then run.
